1. Our Commitment
InviteWise is committed to making our service usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the W3C, and to the applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act.
2. Conformance Status
InviteWise is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working to remediate any known gaps.
3. Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks for screen-reader navigation.
- Keyboard-operable interactive controls (buttons, modals, navigation).
- Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements.
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA ratios (4.5:1 for body text).
- Responsive design that supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
- Form fields with associated labels and accessible error messages.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and decorative aria-hidden treatment where appropriate.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of the service may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Some animated celebration screens may not respect
prefers-reduced-motionin every flow. - Third-party embeds (Stripe Checkout, Stripe Connect onboarding) follow the accessibility standards of their respective providers and are outside our direct control.
- User-uploaded images may lack alternative text we cannot generate on the user's behalf.
5. Feedback & Reporting Barriers
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of InviteWise. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us so we can investigate and respond:
- Email: support@invitewise.app
- Subject line: "Accessibility feedback"
- Response target: within 10 business days, with a remediation plan where applicable.
6. Assessment & Tooling
InviteWise is evaluated using a combination of automated tooling (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual review with keyboard and screen-reader (VoiceOver, NVDA) testing. We re-test after material UI changes.
7. Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under the ADA at ada.gov/file-a-complaint.
8. Changes to this Statement
We will update this statement as accessibility improves or new limitations are identified. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
